New Marijuana-Themed TV Show with Snoop Dogg

Snoop Dogg will executive produce, guest star, and perform the theme song for the new MTV television series Mary + Jane, a marijuana-themed series. Snoop Dogg’s character on the show is described as being “a very, very special person.”

According to Hollywood Reporter, the show is not giving away any spoilers as to at what point in the series Snoop Dogg appears.

Co-executive producer Deborah Kaplan said, “You don’t know when he’s going to appear. You might have to watch all the way to the end to see him.”

Additional celebrity cameo appearances expected include:

• Seth Green
• Missi Pyle
• Andy Daly
• Leonard Roberts

More celebrity cameo appearances are expected for season 2, should MTV renew the marijuana comedy for a second season.

Kaplan said, “We’re hoping that going forward, people who are weed-friendly and comedy-friendly will see the show, get excited about it and just want to come out and play.”

Mary + Jane will premiere on the MTV network on September 5 at 10 pm EST.
