- - A chronic or debilitating disease, medical condition or the treatment that causes:
- Cachexia or wasting syndrome;
- Severe and chronic pain;
- Severe nausea; Seizures, including those characteristic of epilepsy;
- Severe or persistent muscle spasms, including those characteristic of multiple sclerosis
