Question by Jessica Cheese: Temperary medical marijuana card in Nevada?
Tomorrow I’m going to the doctor and they said I get a temperary medical marijuana card then can get the lisence later. I live in Nevada. Does that mean with the temp card I can’t get arrested still? They said I can use that until I get my other one but I want to be sure. I have PTSD and have very bad insomnia from it.

Take a minute to appreciate that medical marijuana is allowed by State. A freaking felony for possession in NV! Still illegal by Federal law. Read up on your State law. Link below. Medical marijuana card and laws do not promise that you can’t be arrested – the laws usually say that you have a defense. Copies of the submitted paperwork count as the MMJ registry card until the card is received. Yes, in many instances a signature by the Dr on the State form allows a visit directly to the dispensary.
