Cannabis Cafe
Sol Flower, one of Arizona’s largest dispensary chains, is pleased to announce that its flagship store, Sol Flower Sun City, will be opening a warm and inviting cafe to the public in June.

In partnership with sustainable coffee roasters, Heat Coffee, the new cafe will serve as a community hub for Sun City residents and visitors, with expected hours from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. With an emphasis on convenient, healthy options, the cafe will serve a full espresso and coffee menu, pastries, breakfast burritos, grab-and-go beverages, homemade energy drinks, and other snacks.

Sun City Sol Flower will also continue its activations with classes for those who want to learn more about cannabis and health. A first-of-its-kind in Arizona, the mixed-use campus will offer an activities classroom open to the public (21+ or 18+ with a medical cannabis card). Classes include yoga, meditation, cannabis 101, and other holistic offerings.

“We encourage those curious about the health benefits of cannabis to visit our dispensary, have lunch, and enjoy a class,” said Patrick Barrett, director of public affairs and community relations at Copperstate Farms. “The classroom’s mission is to educate, entertain, and empower the community,” he said.

The opening of the Sol Flower cafe follows a year of growth and opportunity for the Arizona retailer. The company recently opened a new location in Tempe, following the launch of four Tucson Sol Flower locations last fall.

Sol Flower is owned and operated by Copperstate Farms, which recently entered its third year of recreational sales in the Grand Canyon State. The company, which operates a 1.7-million-square-foot greenhouse, has brought positive economic impacts to Arizona and sets a strong example for responsible environmental stewardship in the cannabis industry.

Arizona legalized marijuana for recreational use in November 2020. The law allows adults aged 21+ to purchase, possess and use cannabis. State-licensed cannabis dispensaries began selling recreational marijuana in early 2021. There are over 150 dispensaries in Arizona — a majority of them are in populous areas such as Phoenix, Tucson and Flagstaff. Recreational cannabis delivery services began operating in 2024.
