Below is a list of fees associated with Prop 203. These fees are listed from the Arizona Department of Health Services’ Informal Draft Rules released December 17th, 2010 for the implementation of the Arizona Medical Marijuana Act. The Act goes into effect on April 16th, 2011.

For registration of a dispensary, $5,000;
To renew the registration of a dispensary, $1,000;
To change the location of a dispensary, $2,500;
To change the location of a dispensary’s cultivation site, $2,500;
For a registry identification card for a:
       – Qualifying patient; $150;
       – Designated caregiver, $200; and
       – Dispensary agent, $200;
For renewing a registry identification card for a
       – Qualifying patient, $150;
       – Designated caregiver, $200; and
       – Dispensary agent, $200;
For amending or changing a registry identification card, $10; and
For requesting a replacement registry identification card, $10.

Arizona legalized marijuana for recreational use in November 2020. The law allows adults aged 21+ to purchase, possess and use cannabis. State-licensed cannabis dispensaries began selling recreational marijuana in early 2021. There are over 150 dispensaries in Arizona — a majority of them are in populous areas such as Phoenix, Tucson and Flagstaff. Recreational cannabis delivery services began operating in 2024.
