Dixie Elixirs

Perhaps the biggest name in the edibles (marijuana-infused foods) market is about to get even bigger. Dixie Elixirs and Edibles of Denver has announced that they will be attempting to expand outside of Colorado and into more states (Arizona, California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, Nevada, Rhode Island, and Washington State) before 2015.

The parent company, Dixie Holdings, has incorporated a new company based out of Delaware called Dixie Brands Inc. which will help with their development into the new territories.  Dixie Holdings’ primary job will be to acquire licensing agreements with local producers in other states. The local producers will make edibles with recipes provided by Dixie Elixirs and then distribute these new products to local marijuana dispensaries.

Dixie Elixirs hopes that with this massive expansion they will become one of the first nationally recognizable brands in the marijuana industry.

⚡️

Arizona legalized marijuana for recreational use in November 2020. The law allows adults aged 21+ to purchase, possess and use cannabis. State-licensed cannabis dispensaries began selling recreational marijuana in early 2021. There are over 150 dispensaries in Arizona — a majority of them are in populous areas such as Phoenix, Tucson and Flagstaff. Recreational cannabis delivery services began operating in 2024.
