Dawne is the CMO and co-founder of Proteus420, a technology software used in our industry. A graduate of University of Pennsylvania, she now resides in San Diego, California with her husband and Proteus co-founder, David Morris. Dawne grew up around the plant and it has always been a passion of hers that she knew she wanted to pursue. As the strong and intelligent business woman she is, Dawne found a way to use her knowledge of tech and her love of cannabis to create an extremely successful business. She was recently named one of Marijuana Ventures top “Women to Watch” in cannabis! Dawne is known for being a kind soul and a loyal friend. Dawne is fiery, and never fails to make people smile. In an industry most greatly populated by men, it is important to highlight the boss women that play such a huge role in making our industry what it is today. Arizona legalized marijuana for recreational use in November 2020. The law allows adults aged 21+ to purchase, possess and use cannabis. State-licensed cannabis dispensaries began selling recreational marijuana in early 2021. There are over 150 dispensaries in Arizona — a majority of them are in populous areas such as Phoenix, Tucson and Flagstaff. Recreational cannabis delivery services began operating in 2024.
