The Marijuana Show

A new marijuana television show called “The Marijuana Show,” is an adaptation of the show “Shark Tank,” where business people seek funding for their business or business idea.

Two Arizona medical marijuana industry businesses have pitched their ideas to the show and are scheduled to appear in the second season, which airs on Amazon, Google Play and iTunes on July 8. Season one brought over 3 million viewers.

$13 million in funding was offered to season two contestants, reports AZ Central. One episode will feature marijuana products for dogs, which was pitched by Phoenix residents Andi and Christopher Martin. Their product is a dog treat infused with CBD properties to cure nausea and digestive issues.

Another episode will feature Dustin Klein of Peoria. Klein is the business owner of Sun Valley MMJ Certification Clinics. His doctor offices have certified over 10,000 Arizona medical marijuana patients.

Each episode of the show is 30 minutes. Those using Xbox Live and Amazon Prime will have access to the current season of “The Marijuana Show” in mid-August, according to show co-creator Wendy Robbins.

Arizona legalized marijuana for recreational use in November 2020. The law allows adults aged 21+ to purchase, possess and use cannabis. State-licensed cannabis dispensaries began selling recreational marijuana in early 2021. There are over 150 dispensaries in Arizona — a majority of them are in populous areas such as Phoenix, Tucson and Flagstaff. Recreational cannabis delivery services began operating in 2024.
