Planet 13, an enormous dispensary opening in Las Vegas, is hoping to open on November 1 and begin serving the millions of annual visitors to the Vegas Strip. In its entirety, the space is expected to be a total of 112,000-sqft with the marijuana retail area taking up 16,500-sqft and having approximately 45 cashiers.
Former Henderson Mayor Bob Groesbeck and City Councilman Larry Scheffler are investing $7.5 million into the new venture, The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
More than marijuana will be available at Planet 13. The space will also feature:
- Food hall
- Brewery
- Coffee shop
- A laser drawing board
- 3D projections
- Rooftop lotus flowers that will be 15-feet tall
- Spherical fountain
- Corporate rental space
Planet 13 will be located at Desert Inn Road and Sammy Davis Jr. Drive in the old distribution center of Coors beer.
Groesbeck said, “We want to out-Vegas Vegas.”
Jim Lamb of the Las Vegas Medical Marijuana Association said, “This is just like Steve Wynn opening The Mirage.”
