Other Dixie Elixirs Reviews:
We recently got our hands on some of the Canna-Bliss Organic Medical Marijuana Salve. This was an interesting product to review because it was the first time any of our interns had used a marijuana salve before. The consensus: They loved it!
So what is a salve?
Well according to Wikipedia, a salve is a medical ointment used to soothe the head or other body surface. The salve by Canna-Bliss is infused with medical marijuana, making much better than the salve Wikipedia describes. Canna-Bliss uses all organic ingredients in their salve. In addition to the marijuana it contains oil, bees wax, coconut oil, aloe powder, arnica oil, calendula oil and comfrey oil.
What is it used for?
Salve is used topically, meaning you rub it on your skin where it is needed. Since it is used topically, the patient will not feel the high associated with smoking or ingesting marijuana. Because this salve has very high concentration of and little , it is great for aches, pains, soreness and many other things.
One of our interns has been plagued with chapped lips her entire life. She found that the salve helped heal her lips much faster than other traditional medicated chap sticks sold at the store. Another of our interns found that when he applied it to his sore knee, it helped relieve the pain almost as well as smoking marijuana.
If you are a patient and need relief from pain or soreness, but don’t want to get high: give salve a try.

Unfortunately many marijuana creams, sometime known as salves, that are available in other states like Colorado or California aren’t available in Arizona yet because legally they can’t be distributed across state lines.
Recently we had the opportunity to try Doc Green’s Therapeutic Healing Crème in California. It combines the medicinal properties of cannabis with Shea butter lotion that quickly and effectively delivers cannabinols to injured and painful areas of the body. The crème is designed to provide relief that lasts for hours without making the patient “high”.
It is available in a few scents. We tried the unscented kind, but the Vanilla one smelled pretty good too. The cream absorbs quickly into the skin, and does not leave an oily residue on the skin that stains clothes.
Doc Greens Therapeutic Healing Cream gets cannabis medicine to your muscles and aches, while keeping your head clear. Perfect for getting rid of aches and pains in the morning or while at work/school.
