Harvest of Scottsdale Dispensary

A new, million dollar medical marijuana dispensary will be opening in Scottsdale at the end of September. The dispensary, Harvest of Scottsdale, is renovating a former bank building. It will be located near Raintree Drive and Hayden Road in a 6,800-square-foot building. The facility will have 11 patient checkout station.

Harvest of Scottsdale’s new location will have the largest medical marijuana dispensary retail area in Arizona, according to AZ Central. Industry experts call this high-end dispensary a sign that the medical marijuana industry is flourishing in the state.

Harvest Inc. CEO Steve White said, “Every penny of this project was spent with the patients in mind. We wanted to create a place where they feel comfortable getting aid for their medical needs.”

It was forecasted by Demitri Downing that dispensaries would start spending more money buying land to relocate and fixing up existing establishments. Downing said, “When they say $1 million, that goes to carpet layers, electricians, permits. Under the old marijuana model, where would the money have gone? To the car of a drug dealer who was selling it from his trunk in the back alleys of Arizona? The new model is this: Arizona businesses holding their heads up high.”

Harvest of Scottsdale is part of the Harvest family of dispensaries, which includes their other Arizona dispensary, Harvest of Tempe.

Harvest of Scottsdale will open the weekend of September 23. It will have specials all weekend long. An open house is scheduled from 4 – 6 pm on September 25. You do not have to be a medical marijuana cardholder to attend the open house.

Arizona legalized marijuana for recreational use in November 2020. The law allows adults aged 21+ to purchase, possess and use cannabis. State-licensed cannabis dispensaries began selling recreational marijuana in early 2021. There are over 150 dispensaries in Arizona — a majority of them are in populous areas such as Phoenix, Tucson and Flagstaff. Recreational cannabis delivery services began operating in 2024.
