Territory Dispensary has officially begun recreational marijuana sales at their Mesa, Chandler, and Gilbert locations (view the map below).
This means adults 21 and older in Arizona are able to purchase and possess up to one ounce of marijuana or equivalent marijuana products, including up to 5 grams of marijuana concentrates.
Recreational purchases will be subject to a 16% excise tax in addition to local sales tax.
“We’ve been waiting for this day for seven years,” said co-founder and CEO James Christensen. “To prepare, we’ve installed additional POS in-store, instituted a new queuing system, hired additional staff, renovated our storefronts, and increased our purchasing. Our priority is ensuring our new customers see the incredible quality and service we bring to this industry, while remaining loyal to our medical patients who got us where we are today.”
While Territory anticipates increased traffic, they are committed to both continuing to provide excellent care for medical patients and welcoming new customers with great service and quality products.
Territory encourages both recreational consumers and medical patients to place orders online to expedite the shopping experience. Customers can also reduce their wait time by pre-paying for their online order, which customers can find more information about on the website. Territory also accepts cash payments and has ATMs on-site.
