Sol Flower, the retail brand of Copperstate Farms, is partnering with WeedWorks Consulting to host a free cannabis education class focused on veterans exploring cannabis, Saturday, March 14 at its Sun City dispensary location.

“Cannabis Connections: Discover the Power of Plant Medicine” will take place from 10 a.m. to noon at Sol Flower Dispensary, 13650 N. 99th Ave., in Sun City. The class is free and open to adults 21 and older. Pre-registration is not required.

Led by Randi Sobel, President and Founder of WeedWorks Consulting, Rob Sobel, CEO and Co-Founder of WeedWorks Consulting, and Ro Gonzalez, President and founder of Valors Veterans Community AZ, the session will provide structured education on cannabis basics, product types, and practical guidance for individuals managing ailments. Attendees will also have dedicated time for open question-and-answer discussion.

The Sun City dispensary location was selected for the event due to its strong retiree and veteran population. Organizers say the goal is to offer clear, accessible cannabis education for individuals seeking reliable information in a community-based setting.

“We regularly speak with veterans who are interested in learning more about cannabis but want factual, straightforward guidance,” said Randi Sobel. “This class is designed to provide clarity, address common questions and create a space where people can explore their options in an informed way.”

The event is part of a broader monthly education initiative at the Sun City location that brings structured classes and on-site educational support to the West Valley.

Caroline Riggs, Executive Vice President of Retail and Marketing at Copperstate Farms and Sol Flower, said hosting the veteran-focused session aligns with the company’s emphasis on building community.

“At Sol Flower, our focus is on better flower, better neighbors and great deals,” Riggs said. “Education is a meaningful part of that commitment. By partnering with Weed Works, we are creating dedicated opportunities for U.S. military veterans and residents to gain knowledge and ask questions in a supportive environment.”
