Erica and Sarina, the Medicated Mavens, are experienced yogis that teach the classes, according to Fox News. Attendees of the classes may not use medical marijuana on-premises.
Yoga, in combination with medical marijuana and meditation have helped Erica combat several ailments. She said, “I’m an insomniac. I deal with a lot of things where I was turning to pharmaceuticals and not liking the way that it felt within my body. The next day, during the day, causing more problems than really alleviating problems.”
She continued by saying, “I think most dispensaries, they come in and it’s — they pick up their medicine and they leave. What we are trying to create here with Medicated Mavens is an environment in healing, of health. And so, it’s not just about the medicine. It’s about an entire gamut of holistic healing.”
To the instructors, Sarina and Erica, yoga is the key to life.
They said, “The yoga: inhale and exhale, sit with your breath and feel your breath, and know it’s going to be okay as long as you breathe.”
