The Arizona cannabis industry is booming. Sales are expected to reach over $1 billion this year, making the Grand Canyon State’s legal marijuana industry one of the largest in the country.

The state’s massive industry requires a lot of workers, and many local cannabis companies are now hiring for part-time gigs and full-time careers.

Currently available jobs include: secretary, cultivator, extraction technician, general manager, budtender, bookkeeper, analyst, marketing specialist, supervisor, trim technician, account manager, delivery driver, inventory manager, customer service, security officer, brand ambassador, laboratory manager, and more.

Arizona legalized marijuana for recreational use in November 2020. The law allows adults aged 21+ to purchase, possess and use cannabis. State-licensed cannabis dispensaries began selling recreational marijuana in early 2021. There are over 150 dispensaries in Arizona — a majority of them are in populous areas such as Phoenix, Tucson and Flagstaff. Recreational cannabis delivery services began operating in 2024.
