Ftn Hills Dispensary

The Fountain Hills dispensary, Nature’s Medicines, has fallen victim to a robbery. Owner Mark Steinmetz says that video shows someone taking a bit of time to smash the door with a hammer and that the alarm blaring didn’t seem to deter them.

The robber only got away with 4 jars of marijuana flower, The Fountain Hills Times reported. The smash and grab happened overnight between Sunday and Monday (January 11 and 12). Most of the medical marijuana products sold at the dispensary are kept in a secure vault.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the robbery. Should you hear anything or anyone bragging about the theft, contact MCSO or the Fountain Hills Police Department with information.

Nature’s Medicines also has a dispensary in Central Phoenix. The dispensaries are known for their low prices on high-quality medical marijuana. Nature’s Medicines cultivates marijuana that uses “100% organic pesticides and fungicides, so you can rest assured that your meds are always pure.”

Arizona legalized marijuana for recreational use in November 2020. The law allows adults aged 21+ to purchase, possess and use cannabis. State-licensed cannabis dispensaries began selling recreational marijuana in early 2021. There are over 150 dispensaries in Arizona — a majority of them are in populous areas such as Phoenix, Tucson and Flagstaff. Recreational cannabis delivery services began operating in 2024.
