Megan Stone Dispensary Interior Design

Scottsdale-based High Road Design Studio is a marijuana dispensary interior design firm, and owner Megan Stone has been nominated as a finalist for the coveted 23rd Annual Association for Retail Environments Design Awards Competition for her state-of-the-art marijuana concentrates bar at TruMed dispensary in Phoenix.

The High Road Design Studio has worked with marijuana dispensaries in Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Oregon, Washington, among others.

Stone, a pioneering entrepreneur in the multi-billion dollar U.S. marijuana industry, will be joining other A.R.E. Design Award finalists from companies such as Target, Nordstrom, CHANEL, and Timberland.

Stone stated she is “honored to be recognized alongside the talents of these national and international firms” and that she wants “to prove to the world that cannabis is an elegant, beautiful product.”

The awards will be held in Las Vegas on March 23, the opening night of GlobalShop, a retail industry trade show.

Arizona legalized marijuana for recreational use in November 2020. The law allows adults aged 21+ to purchase, possess and use cannabis. State-licensed cannabis dispensaries began selling recreational marijuana in early 2021. There are over 150 dispensaries in Arizona — a majority of them are in populous areas such as Phoenix, Tucson and Flagstaff. Recreational cannabis delivery services began operating in 2024.
