Arizona Marijuana Doctors Near Me
Medical marijuana (cannabis) can help treat symptoms for many health conditions. In Arizona, over a dozen health conditions can qualify a person to obtain a medical marijuana card (green card).

First, the prospective medical marijuana patient needs to view the list of qualifying conditions to see if they have at least one.

If they have a qualifying condition, they can schedule an appointment with a local medical marijuana doctor. If the doctor agrees that the person has a qualifying condition, the doctor will sign the application and other documents required by the state and submit them to the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS), the agency that oversees the Arizona Medical Marijuana Act (AMMA).

Arizonans can check the status of their medical marijuana application via the ADHS portal.

With a valid Arizona medical marijuana card, a patient can purchase and possess up to 2.5 ounces of medical marijuana every two weeks from Arizona dispensaries.

⚡️

Arizona legalized marijuana for recreational use in November 2020. The law allows adults aged 21+ to purchase, possess and use cannabis. State-licensed cannabis dispensaries began selling recreational marijuana in early 2021. There are over 150 dispensaries in Arizona — a majority of them are in populous areas such as Phoenix, Tucson and Flagstaff. Recreational cannabis delivery services began operating in 2024.
