An estimated 1 in 7 American adults admit to using a CBD-infused product, according to recent national polling data by Gallup.
CBD use in America is most prevalent among those ages of 18 to 29, NORML reported. Approximately 40% said they use CBD for pain, 20% for anxiety, 11% for insomnia and 8% for arthritis.
Older Americans are less familiar with CBD than millennials, yet more and more are beginning to replace prescription and over-the-counter drugs with natural and safer alternatives, such as CBD.
Last year, Congress enacted legislation that removed industrial hemp (defined as cannabis containing less than 0.3% THC) and products comprising of cannabinoids derived from hemp from the US’s Controlled Substances Act.
