California cannabis industry job postings have soared 1,242% in just 4 years according to Indeed.com, a leading jobs website. The company said marijuana-related job searches are also up substantially.
Marijuana industry job searches in California alone, since September 2016, have increased over 440%, The Sacramento Bee reported. Sacramento has seen a 589% increase in industry-related searches and Los Angeles a 467% increase.
Indeed.com used a handful of keywords, such as cannabis, marijuana, dispensary and CBD, to determine whether a job posting qualified as being related to the marijuana industry.
The legalization of recreational marijuana in California in 2018 has drastically increased demand for jobs in the industry as well as an interest in those wanting to work in the marijuana industry.
