Nike’s New Hemp Sneakers Being Released on April 20th

Nike will be releasing a new sneaker and launching it for the 4/20 holiday. The Hemp Dunk Low is a commemorative design just for the special marijuana holiday. European shoppers will have access to the shoe on April 15^th. Sales will begin in the U.S. on April 20^th.

The top portion of the shoe is made from hemp, according to Highsnobiety. Leather is used for the Swoosh symbol. Branding along the heel and on the tongue of the shoe include both green and orange colors. Contrast for the shoe comes from dark laces and a dark outsole. Beige is the primary color of the shoe, along the midsole. The colors of the shoe, as described by Nike, are bamboo/black/white.

Texture is added to show as the hemp strands create a woven pattern. Nike used restraint when adding company branding on the shoe to keep the design the main attraction.

The cost of the shoes will be known on their launch date.
