Marijuana Business Conference and Expo

The cannabis industry’s oldest and largest tradeshow returns to Vegas for the 4thAnnual Marijuana Business Conference and Expo, Nov. 11-13 at the Rio All Suites and Casino in Las Vegas.

With more than 4,000 business leaders and major investors from 48 states and Canada, over 200 exhibitors and a 30,000 square-foot exhibit hall, attendees have three full days of access to the most target-rich environment in cannabusiness.

As the marijuana industry continues to expand, the show keeps pace with it – attendance at the first event in 2012 capped out at 400 – without sacrificing meaningful programming.

“We love to see the gains in attendance, but our focus is definitely on quality over quantity. The overarching success of this event is driven by the high caliber of the attendees and the exceptionally curated content,” said George Jage, President and Publisher of Marijuana Business Daily.

That focus is best exemplified by the conference’s keynote speaker: consumer advocate and former presidential candidate Ralph Nader. Honored by Time magazine as one of the 100 Most Influential Americans of the 20th Century, Nader brings his unique perspective to the cannabis industry.

From there, 70 industry leaders and experts will take part in 24 breakout sessions that offer insight on the industry’s most pressing and hot topics. Vendors also have exclusive access to all-new presentations featuring executives from some of the biggest names in cannabusiness.

A series of unique roundtable discussions gives attendees the chance to participate in highly-focused discussions and share their expertise with other professionals working in specific areas of the cannabis industry. These lightly-moderated roundtables are grouped into sessions for cultivation, retail and infused products. Participants will work together to address specific issues your industry niche faces today.

Professionals who are new to the business won’t be overlooked. The Marijuana Business Crash Course is an intensive session with content on executive-level information for business leaders, giving them the information necessary to start a profitable cannabusiness.

The conference is also host to the first-ever Industry Celebration and Benefit Event, where every ticket sold will help an effort to raise over $100,000 for national advocacy groups whose work will be instrumental in ending cannabis prohibition.

This exclusive event, held from 7 – 9 pm, Nov. 12 at the VooDoo Beach Pool Area, will be an evening of fundraising and networking, where attendees have the chance to mingle with their peers, advocacy group leaders, industry stalwarts and surprise guests in a relaxed environment perfect for after-hours networking.

Net proceeds will be donated to six beneficiary organizations: Americans for Safe Access, Drug Policy Alliance, Marijuana Policy Project, National Cannabis Industry Association, NORML and Students for a Sensible Drug Policy.

Jage added that the conference’s new additions build on an already solid base from an established name in the industry, ensuring attendees will have the best possible experience every year.

“We saw a lot of new events in 2015 struggle to fill their exhibit hall or their conference seats,” he said. “Fortunately, our brand has built a longstanding and trusted relationship with the industry through the Marijuana Business Daily’s editorial team, our Factbook and consumer research report, and other publications to make this the event that people can’t miss.”
