Just days after CVS announced it would be selling CBD products in 800 of its stores, Walgreens makes a similar announcement.
Walgreens plans to offer CBD products in 1,500 of its stores in the U.S., CNBC reported.
“After a thorough review and analysis, we will be offering certain products containing Cannabidiol (CBD) in nearly 1,500 Walgreens stores in select states (OR, CO, NM, KY, TN, VT, SC, IL and IN),” Walgreens stated. “The CBD-related items we are planning to carry are non-THC containing topical creams, patches and sprays. This product offering is in line with our efforts to provide a wider range of accessible health and wellbeing products and services to best meet the needs and preferences of our customers.”
Walgreens will sell CBD in these states:
- Colorado
- Illinois
- Indiana
- Kentucky
- New Mexico
- Oregon
- South Carolina
- Tennessee
- Vermont
Walgreens’ spokesman Brian Faith said, “This product offering is in line with our efforts to provide a wider range of accessible health and wellbeing products and services to best meet the needs and preferences of our customers.”
