After five incredible years in Arizona, 22Red is proud to announce that they have established their first ever proprietary grow. Originally founded in Los Angeles by System of a Down’s Shavo Odadjian, 22Red has long stood for quality and innovation in art, fashion, music and cannabis. Since launching in the Grand Canyon State, they have partnered with only the best grows and cultivators. As their dedicated fan base grew, it became necessary to streamline their business model with a proprietary grow and genetics to meet the bar of excellence the brand is known for.
Founder Odadjian said, “I developed a fascination with cannabis genetics, because I was amazed by what cultivators and growers were able to create. It’s a real art and I’ve always been a creator. We’re now lucky enough in Arizona to take the reins in our hands and really push the envelope with what’s possible with the plant.”
The new facility is located in West Phoenix and is 30,000 square feet. There they grow from seed to flower and everything in between, the most unique cannabis offerings in Arizona. The facility is equipped with Neatleaf’s AI monitoring systems, high performance LED grow lights, automated fertilization and plant nutrition, sophisticated HVAC water-cooling technology, and a dedicated and knowledgeable staff whose mission is to create ingenious cannabis offerings. To celebrate the brand putting down roots, 22Red launched a contest on their socials where one lucky winner enjoyed an exclusive guided tour of the facility where experts are developing, growing, and curing mind-blowing new strains for Arizona.
Since establishing their own grow, 22Red has been able to be innovative both in genetics and products as a whole. They introduced new strain offerings that have already been grabbing traction like BCC x Jealousy, Blueberry Shortcake, Hippie Crasher, Grape Durban, and ZCrasher. Then for the first time ever, they have also created a line of flower “smalls,” that are cut from the same plants as their premium indoor grown flower. It was necessary to establish their own grow in order to enter this product category with the same strains, as cultivators do not always harvest all parts of the plant when working with brand partners. The smalls allow for new fans of 22Red to enjoy their flower offerings at a lower price point, but with the same eye for quality that sets them apart.
New products are expected to launch in Arizona around the holidays, but as the brand continues to debut offerings from its new home, 22Red will provide exceptional quality and craftsmanship that has come to define the brand.
