Item 9 Labs AZ
In November 2021, Item 9 Labs Corp. broke ground on a $13.5M cultivation expansion in Coolidge, Arizona, with plans to complete the project in summer 2022.

The company has been cultivating, manufacturing, and processing all of Item 9 Labs’ products since 2017 from its existing 19,200 sq. ft. facility, which sits on five acres. As part of the master site expansion, the company acquired the neighboring 45 acres and anticipates increasing its operations space to 640,000+ square feet.

At 50 acres, the site is one of the largest properties in Arizona to be zoned for cannabis cultivation.

By the end of April 2022, the company anticipates hiring another 60 to 70 team members across cultivation, processing and packaging positions, with a goal of creating more than 200 jobs in Arizona by the conclusion of the master site development.

Arizona legalized marijuana for recreational use in November 2020. The law allows adults aged 21+ to purchase, possess and use cannabis. State-licensed cannabis dispensaries began selling recreational marijuana in early 2021. There are over 150 dispensaries in Arizona — a majority of them are in populous areas such as Phoenix, Tucson and Flagstaff. Recreational cannabis delivery services began operating in 2024.
