Arizona-based marijuana consulting agency, Final Rules, succeeded in obtaining a Hawaii dispensary license for their Hawaiian client. Only eight licenses were obtainable in Hawaii.
“We are thrilled we were able to make our client’s dream a reality, by putting it to paper in an articulate, compliant manner. In Hawaii, pure intentions are rewarded,” said Sara Gullickson, co-founder of Final Rules.
On April 29, Hawaii announced the eight companies that will be awarded medical marijuana dispensary licenses. The Hawaii State Department of Health will provide three licenses for the City and County of Honolulu, two licenses each for the Counties of Hawaii and Maui, and one dispensary license for the County of Kauai.
Each Hawaii dispensary licensee can operate up to two retail dispensing locations and two cultivation centers within their county, and may begin dispensing medical marijuana no sooner than July 15, 2016.
Marijuana advocate and actor Woody Harrelson’s company, Simply Organic Living, was not awarded a license.
