Arizona Ice Tea

AriZona Beverage Co., the maker of “AriZona Iced Tea,” has announced that it has entered into a licensing deal with the Colorado-based cannabis company Dixie Brands, who is known for its marijuana-infused edibles, topicals and beverages.

The new products will use AriZona Beverage’s branding and, eventually, be sold in licensed dispensaries, CNBC reported. Dixie currently operates in 6 marijuana-legal states. The brands haven’t said when products will be available.

AriZona Beverages will have the option to purchase a stake up to $10 million in Dixie Brands.

AriZona Beverage’s Don Vultaggio said, “The cannabis market is an important emerging category, and we’ve maintained our independence as a private business to be positioned to lead and seize generation-defining opportunities exactly like this one.”

Arizona legalized marijuana for recreational use in November 2020. The law allows adults aged 21+ to purchase, possess and use cannabis. State-licensed cannabis dispensaries began selling recreational marijuana in early 2021. There are over 150 dispensaries in Arizona — a majority of them are in populous areas such as Phoenix, Tucson and Flagstaff. Recreational cannabis delivery services began operating in 2024.
