The Arizona Department of Health Services’ (ADHS) latest medical marijuana program report, which covers the month of April 2018, reveals that there are 167,107 active medical marijuana patients in Arizona.
The age ranges of Arizona medical marijuana patients:
- Under 18 – 215
- 18 to 30 – 41,766
- 31 to 40 – 34,636
- 41 to 50 – 26,142
- 51 to 60 – 27,453
- 61 to 70 – 26,788
- 71 to 80 – 8,401
- 81 and older – 1,706
According to the data, there are 101,266 males (60.60%) and 65,841 females (39.40%) with active medical marijuana cards, with the most common qualifying condition being chronic pain.
Patients’ medical marijuana qualifying conditions:

- Glaucoma – 1,061

In April 2018, dispensaries sold a total of 9,785 pounds of marijuana (156,575 ounces). Here’s an itemized list of marijuana sold:
- Marijuana flower – 8,925 pounds (142,798 ounces)

- Other marijuana – 409 pounds
