Dixie Elixirs Arizona

Dixie Elixirs lovers in Arizona will have to rush to their local dispensary and stock up on Dixie products because earlier this morning the company notified Arizona dispensaries that it will be leaving the Arizona medical marijuana market.

The news comes as quite a shock being that Dixie is a popular brand at many dispensaries and the industry is thriving and full of patients purchasing medical marijuana products.

Rodney Thomas from Dixie Elixirs told us that they will be “bringing the brand back next year” and have “good things coming down the pipeline” for their relaunch sometime in 2018. He did not comment about the reason for the departure from the Arizona market.

The Dixie brand offers many products but, in Arizona, they are primarily known for their elixir drinks, dew drop tinctures, muscle relief lotion, and chocolate.

Arizona legalized marijuana for recreational use in November 2020. The law allows adults aged 21+ to purchase, possess and use cannabis. State-licensed cannabis dispensaries began selling recreational marijuana in early 2021. There are over 150 dispensaries in Arizona — a majority of them are in populous areas such as Phoenix, Tucson and Flagstaff. Recreational cannabis delivery services began operating in 2024.
