Phoenix Recreational Dispensary

Current ordering systems across Arizona accept online orders but do not process payments, meaning customers pay for their orders on-site in cash. But now, Territory Dispensary, with locations in Mesa, Chandler, and Gilbert, has announced its partnership with TreezPay, which allows both medical patients and recreational customers at Territory’s locations in Arizona to pay in advance for orders placed online. TreezPay allows shoppers to log directly into their bank account to process payments for both in-store pickup and delivery, saving time and reducing contact as COVID-19 cases continue to rise in Arizona.

“In terms of convenience, you can’t get more efficient than TreezPay,” says marketing specialist Kelly Fox. “Our patients and customers can place an online order, login to their bank with a secure link provided via text message, walk into our doors, and walk out with their order as soon as their allotment is recorded. No more waiting in line at the ATM or fumbling with change– you can even leave your cannabis guide a tip!”

TreezPay launched across all three Territory locations on January 1st, and Territory has seen great success with both their medical patients and recreational customers. Territory was the first dispensary in Arizona to offer prepaid ordering at multiple locations.

Because marijuana sales are still federally illegal, dispensaries cannot legally accept credit cards due to federal regulations. TreezPay initiates a bank-to-bank ACH transfer, removing any legal ambiguity and ensuring patient information is 100% secure. Transactions are subject to a flat service fee that is comparable to ATM fees.

“With the introduction of the recreational market, our priorities are COVID-safety and speed, so everyone benefits from TreezPay– even those who don’t use it” says Fox. “Customers who already know what they would like to buy can save considerable amounts of time, and our staff can focus on providing more personalized care to customers who need more guidance with their selections.”

Arizona legalized marijuana for recreational use in November 2020. The law allows adults aged 21+ to purchase, possess and use cannabis. State-licensed cannabis dispensaries began selling recreational marijuana in early 2021. There are over 150 dispensaries in Arizona — a majority of them are in populous areas such as Phoenix, Tucson and Flagstaff.
