Two Arizona Dispensaries Are Now Accepting This Credit Card

Cannabis Credit Cards

Columbia Care Inc, one of the largest multi-state cannabis operators in the United States, announced that it launched its Columbia National Credit program (the “CNC Card”). With the CNC Card program, Columbia Care became the first and only marijuana company in the U.S. capable of directly accepting a credit card at their dispensaries for state-legalized cannabis purchases by medical marijuana patients.

The Arizona dispensaries SWC Tempe and SWC Prescott are both operated by Columbia Care, which means the CNC Card is available for use at each location.

“Right now, both SWC locations are offering a FREE eighth just for applying,” mentioned SWC dispensaries.

The CNC Card has no annual fee and offers exclusive access to sales and offers for cardholders.

“By launching the first credit card in the country that can be used by consumers and industry participants to purchase cannabis products, we now exclusively offer an important capability that will serve Columbia Care’s national growth initiatives…” said Columbia Care. “If given the choice to pay with credit or cash, consumers prefer credit, and until now, the cannabis industry has been predominantly cash-based due to restrictions on the use of credit cards for cannabis purchases.”

Arizona medical marijuana patients interested in applying for the credit card can visit the Columbia National Credit website.

Arizona legalized marijuana for recreational use in November 2020. The law allows adults aged 21+ to purchase, possess and use cannabis. State-licensed cannabis dispensaries began selling recreational marijuana in early 2021. There are over 150 dispensaries in Arizona — a majority of them are in populous areas such as Phoenix, Tucson and Flagstaff.
