It appears that law enforcement and the Arizona Department of Health Services are incapable of regulating Arizona’s medical marijuana industry; therefore, dispensary owners have decided to take the law into their own hands.

The Regulated Dispensaries of Arizona Association (RDAA) is a group of people who represent licensed medical marijuana dispensaries throughout Arizona. This week, the RDAA submitted a letter to law enforcement telling them to do their job better and close down illegal “pot clubs.”

A letter to law enforcement telling them to do their jobs better was the RDAA’s first move. We all know the cops won’t do anything – yet. So I can’t wait to see what the RDAA’s second move will be. Maybe they will go and citizen arrest the owners of the “pot clubs”– like superheros protecting society. Lol. Anyhow, the future of the medical marijuana industry is certainly going to be entertaining to observe. Watch out “pot clubs” here comes high times capitalism!

It looks like the dispensary owners in Arizona are finally beginning to use their influence to help legitimize and grow Arizona’s medical marijuana industry.

Hopefully, soon, we will have a medical marijuana industry like California… Or better yet, no medical marijuana industry; instead, legalized marijuana, like Colorado and Washington. That would be awesome! But I’d need a new business plan if that happened 🙂

Have a great weekend Arizona!

Arizona legalized marijuana for recreational use in November 2020. The law allows adults aged 21+ to purchase, possess and use cannabis. State-licensed cannabis dispensaries began selling recreational marijuana in early 2021. There are over 150 dispensaries in Arizona — a majority of them are in populous areas such as Phoenix, Tucson and Flagstaff. Recreational cannabis delivery services began operating in 2024.
