Female Marijuana Products

California-based cannabis company, NorCal Cannabis, announced it has entered a joint-venture with comedian, actress, entrepreneur, author and activist Chelsea Handler to develop a new line of female-focused cannabis products.

“Cannabis has become an integral part of my life. I’ve been open about my usage.  When I ‘rediscovered’ it recently, it helped me get through some tough times, and it helped me get off sleeping pills. I now see it as a part of my overall wellness regime,” said Handler. “I wanted to take my experience and create something specifically for women who have either never tried it before, or who had a bad experience 20 years ago. We were missing the educational component to cannabis, and now with the legalization of cannabis and micro-dosing, we are in a whole new world of possibilities.”

The new cannabis line, expected to officially launch in late spring of 2019, and will include three distinct vape lines and at least one edible brand – all specifically chosen by Handler.

NorCal cultivates, processes and distributes marijuana products via a network of owned and third-party dispensaries. The company also boasts the largest delivery network in California, allowing for access to those communities who are not close to dispensaries.

All of the Chelsea Handler-branded products will be created in the company’s state-of-the-art production facility in Santa Rosa and be available for purchase throughout the state.

Arizona legalized marijuana for recreational use in November 2020. The law allows adults aged 21+ to purchase, possess and use cannabis. State-licensed cannabis dispensaries began selling recreational marijuana in early 2021. There are over 150 dispensaries in Arizona — a majority of them are in populous areas such as Phoenix, Tucson and Flagstaff. Recreational cannabis delivery services began operating in 2024.
