The Italian Parliament has officially legalized “cannabis light,” a type of marijuana flower only allowed to contain 0.5% THC. Sales will begin January 1, 2020.
Roughly 4,000 hectares of “cannabis light” were grown in 2018 during a time of regulatory uncertainty regarding cannabis in Italy, The Local Italy reported.
Luca Fiorentino of Cannabidiol Distribution, said, “It’s the end of a nightmare.”
