The daily use of CBD is associated with symptomatic relief in people with anxiety disorders, according to the results published in The Permanente Journal.
Researchers at Colorado State University and the University of Colorado assessed the use of 25mg daily doses of CBD capsules over 3-months on people diagnosed with sleep or anxiety disorders, NORML reports. The study found that people experienced a “mild improvement” in sleep, and a “more sustained response to anxiety.”
The study reported that “CBD appears to be better tolerated than routine psychiatric medications,” and that “anxiety scores decreased fairly rapidly, and this decrease was sustained during the study period.”
It also noted that the therapeutic doses used were far lower than those typically associated with anti-anxiety drugs in prior studies.
