Arizona Entrepreneurs’ Technology Is Providing Marijuana Deliveries

Two local tech entrepreneurs have developed a way for residents with a valid medical marijuana card to place their marijuana orders on demand and delivered by a licensed dispensary. Supurb is a flourishing software company based in Tempe, with a vision to share their service with every patient in the nation. Arizona patients are now able to order marijuana wherever they are, on-demand, right from their mobile device or computer. The new company has developed the first on-demand, online platform in the state that is also compliant in all other medical marijuana states nationwide. With over 4,900 customers already using the service, their small company has already grown as an industry leader within the Arizona Medical Marijuana Program.

Supurb is as easy as using any other on-demand service out there (such as GrubHub, Post-Mates, Uber). Patients can register, get verified, and order right from their device.

Companies like this represent a turning point for the industry, the entry into a professional, legal, and convenient way to do business. “It wasn’t too long ago when getting your medication meant driving across town or calling an illegal dealer”, said a current Supurb user, “This is what a legitimate industry looks like. No shady business, I get my medication where and when I want it!”

Since August of last year, the software has been in Beta, starting with only a few patients and one dispensary. Now, it has grown to help thousands of patients and several dispensary partners. “We have been testing the need and impact of the software in today’s medical marijuana landscape and the response has been overwhelmingly accepting,” said Justin Schudel, the company’s Co-Founder and COO, citing the responses from patients all over the state that have benefited from how convenient and affordable it is. “Now, we are ready to launch Supurb with all of Arizona and revolutionize the way people get their medicine.”

Jonathan Ghiz, the company’s CEO and Co-Founder, said the service will be the first of its kind to be offered in Arizona, because they go above and beyond when it comes to compliance with the law “We have worked for years to ensure that every delivery is transparent and legitimate.” Every part of the process is under strict supervision, from trip plans to drivers and delivery protocols, Supurb’s model is setting the bar for the future.

Ghiz believes that this will drive down illegal sales: “Illegal services have thrived because of a lack of competition. Those days are over.” Supurb is now servicing the entire Phoenix-metro area, soon to expand to all parts of Arizona in the next couple of months and nationwide in the coming year.
