AZ Cannabis Sales

Arizona recreational marijuana sales have reached a new high. According to an Arizona Department of Revenue report, nearly $58 million in estimated recreational marijuana sales occurring in October.

Proposition 207, which legalized recreational marijuana use for adults in Arizona, launched in early 2021. At that time, Arizona dispensaries began selling adult-use cannabis.

Medical marijuana sales have continue to thrive alongside adult-use sales. This is probably because there is a 16% excise tax applied only to recreational sales at dispensaries, which means that medical marijuana patients save 16% when buying marijuana from dispensaries.
