Sol Flower dispensary in Sun City is hosting a CBD cooking class on Saturday, Sept 14. The event is open to the general public.
Chef and certified nutritionist Teresa Hansen will be teaching attendees how to incorporate cannabidiol (CBD) into daily cooking. CBD is the second most prevalent of the active ingredients in cannabis (marijuana). It is non-psychoactive and offers numerous health benefits, such as reduced inflammation and stress relief.
“The Sol Flower vision is to empower wellness for all,” stated Director of Patient Services, Jane Fix. “At our Sun City location, residents can access resources on healthcare alternatives, interact with medical cannabis experts, and participate in physical activities such as yoga, meditation, and even cooking with CBD classes.”
The mixed-use dispensary is the first-of-its-kind in Arizona to have an adjoining café and classroom accessible to the public. The dispensary will act as a hub for mindful communication and knowledge cultivation, class curriculum includes cannabis 101, medical cannabis for senior health, a guide to essential oils, and more. Additional classes will focus on mental, physical, and spiritual rejuvenation, such as yoga, demystifying meditation, cooking with CBD, and mindfulness training.
The $25 Cooking with CBD class has limited seating available. Reserve your seat at Cooking with CBD.
