Marie Saloum is the owner of Arizona’s GreenPharms dispensaries, an award-winning, family-owned and operated vertically integrated cannabis company. While she may be best known for operating stores in Flagstaff and Mesa, others may recognize her from the many other hats she wears, including running Trap Culture, a leading cannabis event company, Marijuana Doctors, and owning several brands including CigaWeeds, Mad Terp and helping with Primo Canna-gars
A shining example of resilience and determination, Marie’s passion for the industry grew after her husband was involved in a car accident and utilized cannabis to wean himself off pills. As a businesswoman and patient herself, Marie’s deep connection to the plant has kept her at the forefront of the industry, driving innovation at every opportunity. Most recently, Marie and her GreenPharms team developed a distinctive supermarket-inspired dispensary concept that challenges the traditional dispensary framework and creates an immersive, grab-and-go shopping experience.
Fueled by her passion for cannabis and spreading the word about its healing capabilities, Marie has been in the industry for more than a decade. She worked a steady mortgage job before taking the leap to follow her dreams and launch GreenPharms in 2013. Since then, she’s become a notable industry player, with more than a dozen awards under her belt for GreenPharms alone. Beyond her role as a cannabis CEO, Marie is an advocate, community organizer, philanthropist, and cannabis educator. Now, she’s also an Industry Blazer!
