This graph shows the medicinal benefits of some of the substances found in the Cannabis sativa plant.

The two most commonly known substances from Cannabis are in marijuana: THC (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol) which is primarily a psychoactive substance that creates the marijuana “high,” and CBD (Cannabidiol) which is a non-psychoactive substance that provides the most medicinal benefits in marijuana because it can act as an anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, vasorelaxant, antispasmodic, antipsychotic, and much more. Concentrated quantities of CBD can also be found in hemp products.

When THC is combined with CBD, it has been found to increase its efficacy while reducing adverse effects. This is true even when only trace amounts of THC are added. CBD works collectively with THC by boosting its medical effects and moderating its psychoactivity.

Dixie Elixirs makes hemp products that contain medicinal CBD, with zero or trace amounts only of THC. They are legal in all US states. View Dixie Elixirs’ products.
