VOTE FOR NEW MEDICAL MARIJUANA CONDITIONS! A new round of petitioning to add new qualifying medical conditions to the Arizona Medical Marijuana Act lasts from January 25 – 31.

Vote for the opportunity to add new qualifying medical conditions to the Arizona Medical Marijuana Act by visiting the azdhs.gov website.

The petition in 2012 included depression, migraines, generalized anxiety disorder, PTSD 1, and PTSD 2. The Department of Health Services decided there was a “lack of published data regarding the risks and benefits of using Cannabis to treat or provide relief for the petitioned conditions.” Thus, none of the petitioned medical conditions were added to the list of qualifying medical conditions.

GET ONLINE AND VOTE AT: azdhs.gov website. (During the week on Jan 25 – 31.)

Arizona legalized marijuana for recreational use in November 2020. The law allows adults aged 21+ to purchase, possess and use cannabis. State-licensed cannabis dispensaries began selling recreational marijuana in early 2021. There are over 150 dispensaries in Arizona — a majority of them are in populous areas such as Phoenix, Tucson and Flagstaff. Recreational cannabis delivery services began operating in 2024.
